I think Ohtani wants 50/50. He’s sacrificing batting average to hit homeruns, I think that is part of the explanation for this long slump he’s currently in.

Incoming “Why would he throw that pitch?” “Right down the middle to Ohtani, what was he thinking?” Like pitchers don’t make mistakes sometimes, and as if it’s not the hitters job to take advantage of said mistakes.
「なんであんな球を投げたんだ？」とか「大谷に真ん中に投げて、何を考えてたんだ？」っていうコメントが来るだろうけど、投手だってミスをすることはあるし、打者はそのミスを利用するのが仕事なんだよ。
